Small Celtic F
A carved-top mandolin made to play
Focused voice. Clean projection. Built for the real world.
WHAT IT IS
The Small Celtic F is a more compact version of my Celtic F mandolin. Not actually small, just smaller than my larger-bodied models. It’s similar in size to a Sobell mandolin, and built with the same level of care, tone focus, and structural integrity as the rest of the range.
WHY YOU NEED IT
You want a mandolin that cuts through.
Something a little tighter, a little punchier without losing warmth.
The Small Celtic F delivers a focused tone with excellent projection. Still rich, but more immediate in response. Perfect for session playing, amplified gigs, or ensemble work where clarity matters.
WHAT YOU GET
A hand-built Celtic F-style mandolin with curved back construction.
Tighter response and more focused projection.
High gloss finish as standard.
Satin finish available as a more affordable option.
Ships in a Hiscox case (where available), packed securely in a plywood crate for safe delivery.
WHY IT’S WORTH IT
Every instrument is built by me – no production runs, no shortcuts. Each design has been refined through years of feedback from professional players who rely on their instruments night after night.
You’re not just buying materials and labour; you’re buying the sound, playability, and longevity that come from over three decades of experience.
If you’re unsure which model fits your playing, I’ll help you figure it out. And if you want proof these instruments hold up over time, scroll down and read what players have said.
