NK Forster Model E – A small acoustic guitar with a big, warm sound

The Model E is based on my Model D body shape but slightly smaller – this O size guitar is a great option if you’d like the powerful sound of a smaller bodied guitar but the warmth of a Dread. This is combined with a 25.4″ scale to introduce a little more tension into the smaller body which can cope with dropped tunings beautifully.

The guitars are featured – The E-SS-SK – a Model E body shape, with a cedar SS soundboard, and the simplified, stripped-down Session King styling. And a  “top of the range” Model E-SS cutaway in European spruce and flame jarrah with a stunning dyed maple burl rosette.

The Session King version of the E-SS-SK featured has a Queensland maple body, a western red cedar soundboard, and a New Guinea rosewood neck. The satin finish is thin and durable.

    Soundboard – mature seasoned European spruce or Western red cedar.

    Back and sides – there are many options - mahogany, Queensland maple, figured mahogany, wenge, ziricote or figured bubinga.

    Neck - New Guinea rosewood, American maple or upgrade with 1908 vintage Cuban mahogany

    Fretboard - fine Sri Lanka ebony or ancient bog oak. Bound with rocklite.

    Bridge - ebony.

    Tuners - Gold Gotoh 510.

    Frets - hand polished Evo gold frets

    Nut and saddle - hand polished bone.
