WHAT IT IS

The Model D is a custom-built steel-string guitar based on the same outline as the Model S, but with a broader waist that gives it that familiar dreadnought warmth without the muddiness. It’s all the low-end body and punch you expect, but with clarity unlike any other D-style guitars.

WHY CHOOSE IT?

For players who want projection without sacrificing clarity. The D-SS handles fingerpicking and flatpicking equally well. It has the warmth and bottom end you expect from a dreadnought shape, with the balance and note definition most D-style guitars don’t offer. This isn’t a Martin clone. It’s a different voice entirely.

    Soundboard – mature seasoned European spruce or Western red cedar.

    Back and sides – there are many options - mahogany, maple, figured mahogany, wenge, ziricote or figured bubinga.

    Neck - New Guinea rosewood, American maple or upgrade with 1908 vintage Cuban mahogany

    Fretboard - fine Sri Lanka ebony or ancient bog oak.

    Bridge - rocklite ebano.

    Tuners - Gold Gotoh 510.

    Frets - hand polished Evo gold frets.

    Nut and saddle - hand polished bone.
