Large body Irish Bouzouki
NK Forster Large Body Irish Bouzouki – Handmade tone that cuts through a session
Tone and tradition.
WHAT IT IS
The Irish bouzouki found its place in traditional music in the late 1960s, when Johnny Moynihan introduced the Greek bouzouki into the genre. One of the first luthiers to adapt it for Irish music was Stefan Sobell — my former employer, under whom I trained for fifteen years. My earliest instruments were close relatives of his. After decades of building and refining, these are something I believe go beyond even those early classics.
WHY CHOOSE IT?
Built for players who perform regularly in sessions, on stage, or in the studio. The large body gives strong resonance and projection. They suit Celtic and traditional music especially well, but are flexible enough to handle a range of styles.
WHAT YOU’RE BUYING
A fully hand-built large-body Irish bouzouki with custom tonewoods, scale length, and detailing. Responsive enough for solo work, robust enough for session playing. A lifetime warranty.
